Information Technologies & International Development

Information Technologies & International Development is an interdisciplinary open-access journal that focuses on the intersection of information and communication technologies (ICTs) with the "other four billion" – the share of the world population whose countries are not yet widely connected to the Internet nor widely considered in the design of new information technologies.

ITID is ranked as the top ICT4D specialized journal for research impact.

In a study by noted ICT4D scholar, Richard Heeks, ITID has been ranked as the top ICT4D specialty journal for research impact. The ranking combines factors related to article citation rate, the number of years a journal has been publishing, and consideration of the journal's open access model. This systematic study objectively demonstrates that papers published in ITID are of higher research quality and have greater reach and impact than papers placed in all rival ICT4D publications (including, notably, ITD and EJISDC). Confirming what we have already known — our authors, editorial office, and peer reviewers are the best.
